for biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device companies. From
Dry Rooms and Tissue Culture Labs to Vivariums and GMP Labs, we work
with all appropriate client contacts, including scientists, technicians,
and lab staff to ensure we fully understand and meet your facility needs
and specifications.
Our professionals have a thorough comprehension of what is required
for any new biotech or complex lab space, including HVAC requirements,
vacuum systems, clean dry air, and specialty processes, such as purified
water.
We will:
- meet the most stringent Federal requirements, including FDA validation
- document all actions with the proper paperwork
- follow all appropriate protocol
- use only specified materials and submittals
The following are some of our Life Sciences projects:
- Centaur Pharmaceuticals - Design/Build of a new
pharmaceutical facility. The 35,000 SF of space consisted of 12,000
SF of new offices, 17,000 SF of new Vivarium, and 6,000 SF of new
ADME and Histo-Chemistry Labs. Project included new air-handling and
support equipment, emergency generator and specialized exhaust systems.
- Axon Instruments - Two-phase project totaling
100,000 SF of new build-out form shell for a medical equipment manufacturer.
Project included lab space and semi-clean areas, and new offices with
all new air-handling and electrical distribution.
- Hyseq, Inc. - 50,000 SF phased construction of
GMP Manufacturing Labs, Clean Rooms, and new offices. Work included
new equipment pad, emergency generator and facilitization of the new
lab areas.
- Roche Biosciences R3 - A 75,000 SF laboratory remodel.
Approximately 70% new labs and 30% new office areas. Project included
seismic upgrade, new mechanical and electrical service upgrades and
facilitization of the new labs.
- Abaxis - Fast-track phased construction of 120,000
SF of new interior improvements from shell, including 60,000 SF of
new offices, 40,000 SF of new lab space and 16,000 SF of 5% RH (Dry
Rooms) lab space. The project also included a new interior mezzanine
and a new equipment pad.
- Impax Laboratories - Design/Build renovation of
existing 21,000 SF building to accommodate new R&D labs and office
areas. Improvements included new R&D laboratory, restroom cores,
administrative offices, laboratory casework and hoods, process gas
piping, and new HVAC equipment.
- DRW - Design build construction of new Tissue Culture
Labs and Biology Labs
- Signature Biosciences - Design/Build renovation
of existing 35,000 SF R&D building to accommodate new office and
lab areas. Project included new piping and exhaust systems, installation
of hoods, casework and finishes.
- Avocet Medical Inc. - Construction of Dry Rooms
for a medical device manufacturing company including a 2,000 SF lab
controlled at 5% RH, and a 1,500 SF lab at 10% RH. Project also included
new offices and a structural platform on the roof for mechanical equipment.
- Cambrios Technologies - Interior and exterior
tenant improvements as required for a new start-up technology firm.
Interior space consisted of approximately 33,000 SF of office, labs,
clean rooms, and warehouse space construction. Included site improvements
for existing and adjacent building as well as a seismic retrofit of
the existing facility.
